At 106 ..A Real Hero Passes
About eight years ago I had the honor of interviewing Sir Nicholas Winton. Not all American get to meet a British Knight let alone to go to their home, As a journalist I thought I was all that and more,,,I had interviewed Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Landon and congressmen and (the list goes on). So sitting in Maidenshire, Berkshire England with Nicky Winton was another day at work for me...until.... Until it really hit me that if this man...at 29 years of age had not moved heaven and earth to arrange kinder transports from Prague the then 13 year old Marianne Schorsche would have died in the concentration camps with her parents. Marianne went on to move from England to America after she learned of her parents deaths. She eventually married Jack Wolfson and they had three children the oldest of which is my husband. The every cool journalist lost her cool that day and wept as I thought of the sacrifice of Nicky Winton and what I would have lost had he not been the brave man he was in the 1930's Nicky Winton died a few weeks ago at 106! http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-33350880
Winton was up for the Nobel Peace prize two times...the first time he lost to Al Gore the second to Barak Obama.

WHAT A DAY! Last week I spent the morning at the Cannon Building in Washington DC meeting with Congressman (and former Navy Seal) Ryan Zinke). Later back at the hotel we got the email we had been waiting for.... and so we
spent the evening celebrating the news that The Patriots Voice Foundation got its official State Seal and its EIN from the IRS and is now an OFFICIAL 501c3. Think of the great work we can do now!!!! From DC we went to New York to do a broadcast honoring all Viet Nam Veterans!!!

Sometime's You Just Get Lucky
It is a true blessing when you not only love your job but love the people you work with. Both of these wonderful women have a radio show on The Military Appreciation Channel and are supporters of The Patriot's Voice Foundation!
Sharon Danitschek ,the President of Reunion Friendly Network helps Vets all over the country as they set up their reunions. Did you know there are THOUSANDS of military reunions going on each year?
